Vicky Kaushal was born in Bombay, India on May 16, 1988. He was raised in a Punjabi family and was involved in a money-related industry. Sham Kaushal is his father who is also a very famous action director in Bollywood, Veena Kaushal is his mother, and Sunny Kaushal is his brother who is an assistant director and an actor.

His father worked as an action coordinator and stunt director in Bollywood films such as 3 Idiots, Slumdog Millionaire, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Sunny Kaushal, his brother, is also in the film profession and has worked as an associate producer on films such as My Friend Pinto and Gunday.

Vicky Kaushal received his bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 2009. He had employment offers, but because he wanted to be an actor, he became interested in theatre. 

He enrolled in a Kishore Namit Kapoor-led acting workshop. He then appeared in supporting parts in films such as Bombay Velvet and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, as well as a short film titled Geek Out. Meanwhile, he continued to do theatrical plays with Manav Kaul’s and Naseeruddin Shah’s companies, among many others.

Around 2010, Vicky Kaushal worked alongside Anurag Kashyap on the film Gangs of Wasseypur’s two parts. Neeraj Ghaywan also served among the film’s assistant directors. For Masaan ,Kaushal was also summoned for an audition when Neeraj began production on his project. 

According to Neeraj, he first had reservations about Vicky Kaushal playing a small city Banaras lad due to his usual Punjabi upbringing. However, after witnessing the audition, he became persuaded of his potential.

According to a story in the Mumbai Mirror, the couple might have swapped rings in 2020. They are currently good friends and have kept their dating status a secret. Vicky Kaushal also posted photos of Katrina Kaif and her family celebrating Diwali.

Vicky Kaushal formerly dated actress Harleen Sethi. According to rumors, their split was precipitated by Vicky Kaushal’s relationship with Katrina Kaif. Both have been sighted at community gatherings and on dinner outings together.

The Shoojit Sircar-directed film tells the story of Sardar Udham Singh, a freedom fighter who killed previous Attorney General of Punjab Michael O’ Dwyer in 1945. According to reports, the killing was carried out to avenge the atrocious Jallianwala Bagh massacre that occurred in Punjab on April 13, 1919.

The Immortal Ashwatthama
Vicky will transform into a superhuman for Aditya Dhar’s forthcoming film, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama,’ in which he could portray a figure influenced by the fighter Ashwatthama, who played a pivotal part in the Mahabharata’s conflict between both the Kauravas and Pandavas.

This is Vicky’s second collaboration with Aditya Dhar following their breakthrough with URI. The actor stated that it would be an unforgettable journey for him to study technology alongside his art.

Sam Manekshaw Biopic
Vicky will star in Meghna Gulzar’s forthcoming biopic about India’s senior Major General Sam Manekshaw. Vicky had posted his initial look from the movie on the death anniversary, stating, “I am humbled, passionate, and pleased to have the opportunity to unveil the path of this courageous nationalist, the commander, the very first Major General of Nation – Sam Manekshaw.”

Vicky Kaushal is also being cast in Karan Johar’s next mega epic, ‘Takht’. According to reports, the actor would portray Aurangzeb in the film, which chronicles the link between different Mughal brothers Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh.
Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranveer Singh, and Anil Kapoor feature in the film’s ensemble cast.

Vicky Kaushal Confesses Being An Extremely Fearful Person – Vicky, candidly confessing that he lacks the guts to watch horror films, told a humorous anecdote to a news reporter about how he once saw The Conjuring with a bunch of friends and was forced to watch the movie Andaaz Apna Apna shortly afterward to erase the memory of the frightening film. Then and only then could he return to sleep!
