To help pay the bills, she started a small business called Party In My Yardy. during the middle of COVID-19. As women, our biggest struggle is what are people going to think about me if I fail. Natalie Buether was working for a corporation doing a sales position. Natalie says that “I had been doing for many years and realized really quickly that being great in the role of mom and teacher and coach and all the things that came along with having kids at home and being great at my the job wasn’t working for me.”
life changed drastically for Natalie and her family when the coronavirus pandemic first hit the u.s. hoverever she was determined to turn this obstacle into an opportunity. Natalie quit her sales job and started a small scale business that allowed her to put her family first. After spending time at home she realizes what all she was missing on.
“I didn’t know what kids did in school. I use to drop them off and pick them up eight hours later. and ask them how their day was and get the answer it was a good to answer. I really had no idea what they do what they’re involved in, what the teachers go through” Staying at home helped her to see through kids better.
when she’s not helping her kids Natalie stays busy planting signs like this in front yards across the south bay. Her husband asks her to remove signs from the garage, she didn’t listen because she liked earning money by putting on these signs. The happiness she saw on people’s faces was something that kept her loving what she was doing. Natalie Buether says this new job has perks no other jobs can offer.
“I did a hundredth birthday I went to set up the sign and the birthday recipient came out of her house and she immediately got to the end of the driveway and turned around and her hands went to her face and she was crying and she said it makes me kind of choke up to even hear but she said I hope I make it to 101.”
Instantly, she realized that she just put some cardboard in her yard and this woman has lived a hundred years of her life. Still, something like this could bring tears to her eyes.
“Something really struck me and really made me think like golly this is what life’s all about!” says Natalie.
She also says it’s a priceless experience to build a company or a small-scale business during the middle of covid19. creating a small-scale Business from nothing really empowers you and makes you realize what one is capable of. This set a really good example for women and people, in general, to see that they can be part of something and create Small scale business out of nothing.
This Pandemic time is the biggest struggle when it comes to economy and large- or small-scale business but if you have that drive and you have that motivation you find something that you love, you can be successful in it.

Get out of your own way! Discover what you want to do and stand with it, Period! I think that as women a lot of times. WE are our biggest enemy is our own consciousness and our own
inability to overcome that fear. so just putting that to the side just going for it. the worst thing
that can happen is you fail Don’t worry fear leads you nowhere. If you fail you are going to learn something from it.

something as simple as starting this business or any other small-scale business. it’s like having that belief system remove fear. You think more in a way that I can do. there’s something bigger out there and having that belief really helps to give your best shot for your small-scale business without worrying about the output.
